Among other things, festival organisers are looking for crowd-commanding MCs, thought-leading speakers, wisdom-wielding experts and perspective-bending pioneers. The festival will showcase the most innovate professional minds from around the world and Australia across a slew of interactive events, installations and exhibits, all packed into three awe-inspiring days.

Our speakers represent the spirit, ingenuity and entrepreneurial drive that Pause cultivates. Together with MCs and volunteers they form the foundation of the event. Pause welcomes the world’s best and brightest thinkers to its stage each year to share powerful presentations from the ever-evolving future in the world of business.

What will the next decade be about? And who owns it? 2020 marks the new beginning for which we need a super vision, maybe even interstellar and of course empathy. It’s a big opportunity to shift our mindsets to the next level. The theme for Pause Fest 2020 is New Odyssey; it’s where we will explore the next phase of our evolution in business and society.

In 2019, Pause Fest saw over 19,000 people pass through festival doors. Attendees heard from 300 inspirational speakers who presented ideas that challenged perceptions and inspired new ways of thinking across creative, tech and business. The festival gets exponentially bigger and better every year and we can’t wait to welcome our new team of speakers and experts for 2020.

The only rule for expressions of interest is that any ideas put forward must be 'content you can't Google'. Pause Fest will take place from 19-21 February 2020 TBC at Fed Square, Melbourne.  Applications close on 19 July 2019.

One in a Million.

The final result of your submission depends on the quality or your idea, substance and speakers proposed. Every year gets harder and harder. We receive 2-6 times more applications than what we can approve. We read all of them! The difference between those that make it and those that don’t is in your submission, topic title, idea and how well you present it.
