Join us at our recently announced Festival Hub location — ACMI Café & Bar at Federation Square — from 5:30 pm on Wednesday, 6 Feb for our Opening Party to kick off the celebrations and handshakes.

Gear up for non-stop sonic symphonies on the decks with DJ Dean Dixon. Taking a break from his residency at Bali’s highly lauded Potato Head Beach club, he will be ringing in Pause Fest 2019 from the stage with DJ James Steer playing all your classics.

But that's not all.

The thread-bearers at MachineLive will have an on-site print station pumping out FREE custom tees for first two hours, and official party sponsors, Mt Goat, will be going hard on tastebud provisions. Gourmet nibbles provided.

Here's some massive news fresh off the press for SXSW wannabes — we'll be hosting our very own SXSW Meetup at Pause 2019! If you've ever wanted to submerge yourself in the SXSW-exclusive throngs of music, film, and tech industry intellect, now's your chance. We'll be hosting a panel of tech festival veterans who'll be dropping insights on just what it's like to live through one of our industry's most famed industry meetups.

Matters Journal Launch Party | Issue 3

All Pause Fest ticket holders will not only have the opportunity to attend the third bi-annual print publication launch of Matters Journal — a homegrown collection of interconnected stories from the worlds of arts, design, technology, healthy food and the environment — but they'll also go home with a hard copy of Issue 3 in their hot little hands.

Christian Marclay: The Clock | 24-hour Screening

In Partnership with ACMI

The Clock is a 24-hour video installation created from thousands of clips of clocks, watches and other references to time from film and television. These are masterfully edited together and synced to the present moment in one mesmerising collage. The result is an epic journey through cinematic history as well as a functioning timepiece.
