How do I get to Federation Square?

What are my transport and parking options?

Pause Festival highly recommends catching public transport to all events – we have specifically designed the Pause 2019 event experience around Melbourne’s transport hubs. For those driving, limited parking is available to the rear of Federation Square.

How do I navigate the venues at Pause Fest 2019?

Please check the Venues page. All venues are located in different buildings within the same complex – that’s what makes Pause so exciting. That said, some side events, like the closing party and partner events, might not be held at Fed Square. Follow Pause announcements for updates.

Where can I find accommodation?

There are plenty of accommodation options to choose from in Melbourne CBD that are within an easy distance to Federation Square. Please be advised that February is a very busy period (hello summer!), so it’s best to book your accommodation as early as possible.

In celebration of PAUSE FEST, designer hotel QT Melbourne is offering all attendees a special 15% off their best available rates between 4 – 10th February, 2019. Book before 5thJanuary to secure your discount. Simply type ‘PAUSEFEST’ into the ‘promo code’ field on our website to receive their 15% discount on accommodation.

Perfectly groomed and immaculately accessorised QT Melbourne shimmers within the high-end fashion district of Australia’s most creatively charged city offering a new way to experience a design-led hotel. At QT, you’ll be spoilt for choice with unrivalled food and drink experiences at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Pascale Bar & Grill and The Rooftop at QT overlooking Melbourne’s city skyline

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Bring anything you need to engage with the speakers, workshops and panels you’ll be attending. If you are heading to a workshop of any description, be sure to bring your laptop with the required software already installed. And make sure you bring a stack of business cards! In terms of what not to bring, we’ll leave that down to common sense…

Is food being served at the event?

No. However, all VIP events will be serving food for Leader ticket holders who have been invited to attend. You will need to take care of your daily lunches and dinners, but free fruit, coffee and water stations will be provided.

Why there are no single-day tickets?

After nine years, we decided to change our ticketing system and remove single-day tickets. By having a festival where everyone at least has the opportunity to attend over all three days, we hope the Pause experience will be far more rewarding for everyone involved. This will help strengthen both the Pause community as well as the potential networking opportunities for all of our attendees.

Why can’t I buy the Creator ticket?

The Creator ticket is designed with the younger, potentially more junior business community in mind. We want Pause Fest to be as open as possible, and available to people regardless of whether they’re running the company or have just started as an intern. We believe that ideas can come from anywhere in a business, so it’s important to nurture all of our movers and shakers, no matter their job title or experience level. Creator tickets are an application-only affair, and Pause HQ will ultimately be the judge of whether or not someone fits the criteria.

Can I film, take photos and promote the event?

Totally! We encourage you to go as crazy as you like, and we look forward to you soaking up our enthusiasm. You can find a lot of images on our website or on our social networks. If you are festival partner, please reach out for a media kit.

Can I get a refund?
